Apple has released a new ad for the iPhone XR where it is highlighting the different colors the phone is available in. Titled ‘Color Flood,’ the ad is just over a minute long and shows people running in groups, with each group of people wearing a solid color uniform in which the iPhone XR is available in. Despite being an ad for the iPhone XR, the device is only shown towards the end of the video. The ad solely highlights the six different colors the iPhone XR is available in — White, Black, Blue, Yellow, Coral, and Product(RED). Interestingly, the ad also has groups of people wearing green and purple suits, colors in which the iPhone XR is not available in. The latest data from Consumer Intelligence Research (CIRP) shows that in the first month of its availability, the iPhone XR accounted for 32 percent of the total iPhone sales in the United States. This was behind the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max which combined accounted for a total of 35 percent market share. CIRP notes that while impressive, the 32 percent share of the iPhone XR is lower than what the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus managed to achieve in the first month of their availability (39 percent) last year. It was, however, higher than the 30 percent unit share the iPhone X managed in the first 30 days of it going on sale in the United States. CIRP data shows that 82 percent of existing iPhone users upgraded to the iPhone XR, while 16 percent Android users switched to it. As rumors had pointed out, Apple has bumped the RAM on its new iPhone XS series to 4GB, up from the 3GB found on the iPhone X . The information was revealed as a part of Apple’s submission to TENAA ahead of the launch of the devices.  The iPhone XR, however, comes with lower 3GB RAM. Given that it comes with a lower resolution screen than the other two iPhones as well, this should not be a cause for concern. For comparison, the iPhone 8 Plus from last year shipped with 3GB RAM. The TENAA listing also reveals that the iPhone XS comes with a 2,658mAh battery. This is lower than the 2,716mAh battery Apple used inside the iPhone X last year. Despite the smaller battery, Apple claims the iPhone XS offers 30 minutes more battery than the iPhone X. This is largely thanks to the new power-efficient 7nm chip and improved power efficiency of other system components.
