A report originating from ChargerLAB in Hong Kong claims that Apple supplier Luxshare Precision has started producing AirPower. The report is based on news from “credible sources” so there’s no way to verify its authenticity. The source does claim that AirPower will now be soon released by Apple. Apple had originally unveiled the AirPower alongside the iPhone X in 2017. The wireless charger was highlighted as being able to charge the iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch simultaneously. However, due to engineering issues, Apple could not release the AirPower in 2017 and 2018. Breaking: AirPower is finally coming. The AirPower wireless charging mat was expected to be given a launch date and price tag earlier this month, but that didn’t end up happening. But apparently even Apple was planning on the AirPower being out there in the wild right around now, too. Based on a tweet from developer Gavin Stephens, who shared an image from the user guide included with the iPhone XS (and presumably the iPhone XS Max), Apple notes that new owners can put their iPhone XS on the AirPower wireless charging mat or another Qi-certified wireless charger to give their device a bit more life.
